why are there different types of tables in the study centre?
- The different sizes and styles of tables allow students to work in different ways. The corrals enable students to focus completely on their work, in silence. The group tables enable students to work on group projects or work with a tutor. There are different rules for each section of the room to make sure that students get the most out of the space.
what are the rules of the study centre?
- Most importantly, we expect all students to respect the desire of other students to study. This is not a social space, but a productive one. Rather than listing all of the things that cannot be done in the centre, we expect students to exercise common sense about their behaviour. The Study Centre Coordinator is empowered to remove students from their chosen seats or remove them from the Centre entirely if they disrupt other students by their words or actions.
